The second annual “Moonlit Fandango” was a smashing success; surpassing last year’s event in the number of people attending and the amount of money raised. Over 120 people enjoyed the gala festivities at the Rockin H Ranch and were treated to great music by the “Rivereens” with special guest David Grisman, excellent local food and wine and an impromptu acrobatic air show over the River arranged by host Sid Hendricks. Fine art donated by local artists, wonderful vacation getaways and beautiful jewelry were among the donated auction prizes that raised nearly $24,000 to benefit Friends of the Petaluma River and the Petaluma River Heritage Center. Wonderful photos from the evenings festivities by Chris Samson and Tom Isaak are posted to the Petaluma 360 photo gallery.
Friends wants to warmly thank all of the people who contributed the evenings success including: the event organizing team, the many volunteer helpers, the generous auction item and in kind service providers, our corporate table sponsors, all of the attendees and last but not least Sid & Gigi Hendricks for once again hosting the event at their beautiful ranch. More details about the evening will be published soon in the Fall Tidings.
